چکیده

Abstract Background Shaping ability of a file plays an important role during instrumentation in endodontic treatment. This study aimed to compare the shaping OneShape (OS), Hero Shaper (HS), and Revo-S (RS) instruments simulated L-shaped canals. Methods Forty-eight canals were prepared apical size 25 using OS, HS, RS (all from Micro-Mega SA, Besançon, France), (n = 16 canals/group) systems. The amount resin removed after each canal's preparation was measured compared producing composite image made superimposition pre post-instrumented Canal aberrations time also recorded. data statistically analysed by ANOVA, Tukey, Chi-square tests. Results One fractured group. A significant difference found at end canal between groups, with showing least removal inner side HS highest outer ( P < 0.05). Regarding total width preparation, groups straight portion canals, No differences different regarding aberrations' incidence > Conclusions All files showed tendency straighten whereas OS maintained original curvatures well.

Comparison of Shaping Ability of Five Nickel-Titanium Rotary Instruments in Simulated Curved Canals

This study compared the shaping ability of five Ni-Ti rotary files (ProTaper Universal, Reciproc, Hyflex CM, ProTaper Next and TF Adaptive) in simulated root canals. Each group consisted of 10 root canals. Preand post-instrumentation photographs were taken using a precise camera and superimposed with Photoshop. Material removal from the inner and outer canal walls, transportation and centering ...

Comparison of preparation of curved root canals with Hyflex CM and Revo-S rotary nickel-titanium instruments.

AIM To compare the shaping ability of three different nickel-titanium rotary instruments during the preparation of curved root canals in extracted teeth. METHODOLOGY A total of 60 root canals with curvatures ranging between 25° and 35° were divided into three groups of 20 canals. Based on radiographs taken prior to instrumentation, the groups were balanced with respect to the angle and the ra...

Comparison of the shaping ability of GT® Series X, Twisted Files and AlphaKite rotary nickel-titanium systems in simulated canals

BACKGROUND Efforts to improve the performance of rotary NiTi instruments by enhancing the properties of NiTi alloy, or their manufacturing processes rather than changes in instrument geometries have been reported. The aim of this study was to compare in-vitro the shaping ability of three different rotary nickel-titanium instruments produced by different manufacturing methods. METHODS Thirty s...
